What is massage?

Massage is the art of manipulating the body's muscles.  It originated some 5,000 years ago in the Eastern world where it was used wildly and much later was brought to the West.

How does massage work?

Massage helps release chemicals known as endorphins from the brain, which act as the body's natural painkillers.  These help to counter the sensation of chronic pain and give a feeling of relaxation.
